Very windy again today.  Temperatures are dipping a bit at night but not lower than 48 degrees F at this time.  Today is a high of 75 F and my weather app is showing this will be the highest for the next week.  A new pilgrim just rang the bell.  This will be number 12.  Yesterday was a mere 9 pilgrims.  It is really hard to estimate each day.  As long as we have fewer than 19 pilgrims, they can all stay in the big dorm room leaving us with less cleaning to do.

Most pilgrims started their day in Los Arcos, about 28km away and their 6th day on the Camino.  They arrive looking very tired.  From here it is about 600km to Santiago, if that is their destination for this trip.  A family of 4 has been doing the camino in sections.  They are starting another section today and have about 5 days to reach their end point this time around.

Right now it is 4:30pm.  I am sitting at the main desk checking pilgrims in as the arrive.  At 5pm, the cut off to sign-up for dinner, the 3 of us volunteers decide what to make and then one goes shopping to get ingredients.  We all feel like locals when going shopping because we take the trolley cart and drag it along the brick roads until we reach the edge of the old town.  After that it is smoothly rolling.  We recognize the brands to get and where to find things.  Finding frozen crushed garlic took us two trips.  The grocery list will be for tonight and for bfast items (typically, white bread for toasting, jams, cornflakes, boxed milk, teas and instant coffee, and tea biscuits).  With 12 pilgrims signed up for dinner, that might be too many for a pasta dinner.  I heard the pasta can come out gooey if too much is cooked at once.  Two of us rotate cooking dinner. I made the lentil stew last night.  I wonder what we will decide.  We have one vegetarian so the meal will be a veggie meal.

Pictures from my daily walk.  I do hope to tour a winery tomorrow or Thursday.

A bridge over the Ebro river connecting green spaces.  These parks have walking paths, bike lanes, and stork towers.  Lots of active people in Logrono including many dog walkers.
I spotted 2 storks up there.

The streets are hosed down daily.  Looks slippery to me.
A very old convent that was converted to an ammunition storage and then to a tobacco factory is now a parliment building.
